Call or visit the library to borrow the Vermont State Parks Pass, which gives free entry into State Park day areas for up to 8 people in one vehicle. (Elmore, Island Pond, Waterbury, Brighton, Crystal....and many more)
We also have the Vermont State Historic Site pass. You may use it for one family, or groups up to 8 people for free entry into the Vermont State Historic Sites. (Bennington Battle Monument, Chimney Point, Hubbardton Battlefield, Justin Morrill State historic Site....and more) This pass is good through October 11th.
You may also borrow a pass to visit Vermont's History Museum, located next to the State House in Montpelier. Sit in a recreated 17th Century Abenaki dwelling, walk into a Revolutionary War era tavern, sample the smells of an early 19th Century store, tap out a message on a late 19th Centruy railroad office telegraph. Get a sense of Vermont's image and identity over time and the special relationshop Vermonters continue to have with the land and their Communities.
