Monday, April 6th at 5:30 at the Lanpher Library join Dr. Phil Chiaverelle to create a Gallon Garden. Dr. Phil will guide and teach participants as they take cuttings, treat them with rooting powder, and plant them in a gallon jug to take root. Please register in advance, 888-4628. Participants should plan to BYOG...(Bring your own Gallon jug). We'll have a few here...just in case!
Join us on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 9:26 a.m. until noon (otherwise known as Pi Day 3.1415926.....) for the Hyde Park Partners in Education (P.I.E.) Third Annual Pie Breakfast Fundraiser at Hyde Park Elementary School (HPES). $5 for adults, $3 for children All You Can Eat Pie!!
Then, take a walk around Hyde Park Village where the Lanpher Library will have set up a Storywalk. Pages of the book "How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World", by Marjorie Priceman will be posted up and down Main St. Begin at HPES, and follow the story up to the Second Congregational Church, where you can pause (put a bookmark in the story!) to take a break at the Church, enter in free drawings to win copies of books for all ages, including a Pie Cookbook and a copy of the Storywalk book. There, you can also get a warm up of Hot Chocolate, Coffee, Water, and sample some fruit from around the world.
Don't forget to finish the Storywalk by picking up the story at the Hyde Park Opera House and continuing back down Main St. toward the school. The Storywalk will be set up from 9:00-1:00.
We hope all ages of friends from all over will join us!
