Mrs. Koch's First Grade Class, and Mrs. Raboin's Fourth Grade Class helped the Hyde Park Partners in Education (P.I.E.) collect and deliver Halloween candy to the Lanpher Library for distribution to Hyde Park Village Residents to give out on Halloween! Mrs. Raboin's class calculated the total amount of candy collected at 1,294.96 ounces, or 80.935 pounds...rounded up, it's 81 pounds! They pushed 3 shopping carts up Main Street to the Library and got it all into the building "bucket brigade" style! If you live in the Village, and want some candy to give out to the multitude of Trick or Treaters on Saturday, stop by the Lanpher Library, or call us 888-4628 and we'll be sure to let P.I.E. know so they can deliver it to you on Friday, October 30th. The Lanpher Memorial Library is partnering with Hyde Park Partners in Education (P.I.E.) to collect candy to distribute to people who live in Hyde Park Village to give out on Halloween night. Hyde Park Village is a fun, safe and popular place to go Trick-or-Treating and the donations are a great way to make sure that everyone can participate in the fun. We will collect the candy here until October 31st.
Mrs. Raboin's class and Mrs. Koch's class at Hyde Park Elementary School will be collecting donations at school too. If you live in Hyde Park Village, or you know someone who lives in the Village who wants some candy for Halloween, you may call, or stop by the Lanpher Library to be added to the list and PIE will deliver, or will have some here for you to pick up. 802-888-4628 |
