Carrie Phillips, Director of Pharmacy at Copley Hospital will discuss how to determine if a nutritional supplement is what it says it is and where and how to find reliable information on its actual effectiveness and safety. The talk will include the regulations around the manufacture of nutritional supplements, drug interactions and more.
The Copley Hospital Health Sciences Librarian will lead a Meet & Greet from 6:00-6:30, when light refreshments will be served, and information to learn more about the Health Sciences Library will be available. The Health Talk will begin at 6:30.
