Please join us on Monday, August 2nd for Night Owl Story Time at 6:00. Dick Grover will be here to lead us in a sing-a-long. Dick is my Uncle, visiting us for a while and has agreed to come in and play guitar and sing some songs. Some will be favorites from when I was little, some that go along with books/stories in the library, and more.

Tuesday, August 10th from 10:00-12:00 we will have an Open House for the quilts and quilted wall hangings that are on display by Connie Page.
Please join us to see the beautiful art and to visit with Connie who will be here at that time. Connie Page has been a Trustee and Volunteer at the Lanpher Memorial Library for many years. After she retired from teaching at Morristown Elementary School, she joined the Common Threads Quilting Guild and began quilting. In honor of Connie and her time, commitment and friendship, we are displaying some of her quilts and quilted wall hangings here at the library.
We will host an open house when Connie can be here. If you would like to be notified about the time and date of the Open House, please contact us through the website, or give us a call 888-4628. In the meantime, please visit the library and see Connie's artwork for yourself. Call or visit the library to borrow the Vermont State Parks Pass, which gives free entry into State Park day areas for up to 8 people in one vehicle. (Elmore, Island Pond, Waterbury, Brighton, Crystal....and many more) On Tuesday, July 20th (tomorrow!) at 5:00 the Lanpher Memorial Library and the Johnson Public Library are pleased to present: Rutland High School's Summer Encore Theater Production of "The Little Mermaid" at Johnson's Tuesday Night Live in the Legion Field next to Johnson Elementary School.* This short adaptation of Hans Chrisitan Andersen's tale is FREE!!! and is sponsored by a grant from the Vermont Department of Libraries. |
