Gary Dulabaum will perform at 5:00 on Tuesday, July 16th at the Legion Field, next to the Johnson Elementary School.

You don't need a shovel to dig into reading with Gary Dulabuam, you just need an imagination, a voice to sing and a willingness to have fun as we explore the underground whether it be plants in a garden, an animal tunneling below, old rocks with their own stories or songs outside of the mainstream culture.  So join Gary in this participatory program for kids of all ages as we journey below the surface and really dig into reading and singing!

Fun for all ages!  Bring a blanket, bring a picnic, hang out and have a great evening of FREE music!

Co-sponsored by the Lanpher Library and the Johnson Public Library with a grant from the Vermont Dept. of Libraries.

FRONT PORCH FORUM!

7/10/2013

Hyde Park has over 400 residents signed up for Front Porch Forum.  Front Porch Forum is an online newsletter that is sent to you just about every day...and can help you connect directly with your own community.  Their mission is to help neighbors connect and build community.

You can post about your yard sale, or the awesome clock repair person you've found, or let people know about upcoming community events.

It's not like Facebook, where you have to keep up with posts and respond individually, or puts up an immediate response.  It's just a great, once/daily newsletter that you can read and enjoy.

The Lanpher Library posts  "Hyde Park 100 Years Ago"  just about each week, where we pull news and notes from the 1913 newspapers to remind us how much has changed...and how much has stayed the same!

You can go to our Links page (click on "Links" in the left column of this site) and you can click the link  that will take you directly to Front Porch Forum to sign up.  Please call us, or stop by the library if you want help getting signed up for Front Porch Forum.

It's fun, it's easy to keep up with and it's a great way to know what is going on in all areas of Hyde Park!
