Saturday, February 4th is TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THE LIBRARY DAY!  Please join us for LIVE entertainment at 10:30, face painting, library tours, and more!

_Corey Ryder will be at the Lanpher Library from 1:30-3:00 to meet and greet folks who are interested in his CD "Rooted in the Country".  Copies will be available and are on sale at the library now...Corey has donated copies so that the proceeds will benefit the Lanpher Library only $15.

The link on our link page has been corrected so that now it will take you to the page you need to enter your barcode and sign up for classes. 

I apologize for the earlier link that took you to the Universal Class page and would only allow registered users to sign in.  It is now ready to roll!

Junior Naturalist Program on MONDAY THE 16th.

There is no school on Monday the 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  The Lanpher Library is open, however and at 3:00 will host the program "TRACKS AND TRACES: Students will be introduced to the science of animal signs through a slide show, puzzlers, track pattern activities, and making track replicas."

This is a FREE program for preschool-4th grade.  As always, it is: FREE, FUN, INFORMATIVE AND INTERACTIVE!

Universal Class is an educational service providing high quality online courses for our patrons interested in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge for personal, or professional reasons. 

There are over 500 classes available.... Social Work, Test Prep., How To/ Do it Yourself, Spiritual Studies, Home and Garden....

Just go to our links page and click the image for Universal Class to go to the site.  You need a Lanpher Library barcode to register, but once you are in the site you can set up your own user name and password.  Follow the instructions and have fun!

If you don't know your barcode, give us a call 888-4628.  If you don't have a barcode, stop in and we'll get you set up with an account.

Winter Weather and the Lanpher Library

Tomorrow is Thursday and the Lanpher Library is always closed on Thursdays...however the predicted messy weather has me thinking about closings due to inclement weather.  The Lanpher Library will be OPEN even if there are school closings, unless:  *it is a day when the Library is normally closed (like tomorrow)...

Occasionally we do make a judgement call to close the library early, or to not open if the weather is extreme.  When in doubt, please call the library ahead of time, check our website, or facebook page, radio announcements, etc.
