Connect Hyde Park VT
Connect Hyde Park is a 14-month effort to develop a master plan for the Town and Village of Hyde Park that provides the community with an action plan that will help the community invest in its future by improving walking and biking, promoting economic development and encouraging community engagement. This project seeks to improve safety in the village, and to take advantage of the Lamoille Valley Rail trail, one of the most exciting opportunities for outdoor activity in the state. By connecting the trail with our community’s assets and making the village a safe and inviting place to be, we can enhance our sense of place and increase economic vitality.

Hyde Park has a rich history, and people love exploring its historic buildings and sites. And throughout this project, Connect Hyde Park VT heard that people want more activities and events in the village, and more things connecting the Rail Trail to the village center. So the new Hyde Park Pop-Up History Trail was created.

There is a lot of excitement building in The Village of Hyde Park these days, so much so, that some of the things suggested by the Economic Report in January have already taken place. The Sweetcrunch building is now the Fork and Gavel, and the P.H. Edwards Building has been sold! The data collected in this report will inform the Action Plan’s economic component, providing strategies that are designed to help the community build the economy.
