The Library Community

The Lanpher Memorial Library is one of 6 public libraries in Lamoille County.  Our community is incredibly lucky to have these 6 diverse and wonderful institutions!  We all get busy with our work within our libraries and Towns, but we also work together to serve the entire county as well.

If you are in Morrisville, stop by the Morristown Centennial Library and check out their new addition.  They have a way to go yet...but it wasn't too long ago that the Lanpher Library was in a similar position.  The Morristown Library's Trustees were honored this May at the Vermont Library Association Conference for their dedication and commitment to the addition process.  Despite the challenges of operating a busy library with limited space....the Centennial Library is alive with programming, books and computer use.

Summer News

The Lanpher Library has had a lot of changes this summer, including a new automated system and new, expanded hours.

If you haven't already completed a survey to help us set permanent fall hours, please take time to do so by going to our July archives and clicking on the link to the online survey.  You can also stop in the Lanpher Library on Saturday, Aug. 6th 10-1, Monday the 8th 12-8.  We'll be looking at survey results at the Library Trustee Meeting on Tuesday, August 9th at 4:00.

In other news, most of our catalog is in the new automated system and you can search our collection by clicking "SEARCH CATALOG" in white letters on the right hand side of the screen, or by going to:  www.lanpherlibrary.kohavt.org

Keep in mind that not quite all of the Adult Non-fiction is cataloged and not too many of the audio/visual collection is on there yet.  We're making headway and "won't rest" until it's done!  (At least, it feels that way!)
