"Night Owl" story time on Monday evenings is a half hour story and activity time. There is a wide range in the ages of children at this story time and families often come together to participate. In the summer the group occasionally drifts outside or over to the playground when the story time is over and the library closes.
We are open 30 hours/week and for 28 of those hours the library is generally a quiet, relaxing place to work, read and visit. HOWEVER, on Wednesdays...that scenario changes.
On Wednesday mornings, our motto is: "Read, Write, Sing, Talk and Play". We get messy, noisy and active from around 10-11 a.m....and if you visit the library on a Wednesday morning, you should expect action!
From June 27-August 8, 2012 at 2:00 on Wednesdays we'll have our Summer Reading Programs. Each week (except July 4th when we'll be closed), we'll host a free, exciting program from 2:00-3:00ish. Again...expect crowds, excitement and action as we focus on our theme: "Dream Big...READ!" about the night time. For a full schedule of events, visit our "KIDS PAGE".
