The newly formed Friends of the Lanpher Memorial Library is announcing their first fundraiser: 18" Doll complete with a homemade wardrobe (selections in the picture). This beautiful set was donated to the Lanpher Library by a local friend, who made all of the clothes in the wardrobe (with the exception of a pair of shoes, tights and a fur coat!) Tickets are being sold that the Lanpher Library for $1 each, or 6 for $5. The Friends of the Lanpher Library will draw the winner on August 1st at their Doll Show and Tell program at 11:00 at the Lanpher Library. Please contact us for more information 802-888-4628 The Lanpher Library is taking part in the Vermont Library Association Passport to Vermont Libraries! You can pick up a Passport at the Lanpher Memorial Library (don't forget to get it stamped!). You will then have until September 1st to visit as many Vermont Libraries as you want. After Sept. 1st, check in with us...because whoever has visited the most Vermont Libraries and has the most stamps in their passports will win prizes from us! Then, the winners in 3 categories: Adult, Young Adult and Child will be entered in the Statewide drawing to win prizes from the Vermont Library Association. On Monday, June 22nd at 6:00 the Lanpher Memorial Library will be visited by CATS! The Cast of Lamoille County Players Production of the popular show CATS will be at the Library to give us a back stage glimpse of the making of the show...from page to stage...with a sneak peek at costumes, make up, songs by Andrew Lloyd Weber and the lines from T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats". YOU ARE ALL INVITED and we hope you will join us!!!
