Library Closings

The Lanpher Library will be closed on Tuesday, May 21st so that our staff can go to the Vermont Library Association Conference.  We'll write some blog posts to let you all know what we lea

We will re-open and have story time on Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:00.

The Library will also be closed on Monday, May 27th to observe Memorial Day. 

Our regular hours are:
Monday 12-7, Tues, Wed, Fri. 10-5 and Sat. 10-1.

NIGHT OWL STORY TIME SCHEDULE CHANGES

There will be no Night Owl Story Time on Monday, May 20th or on Monday May 27th. 

This is our regular, weekly, Monday evening story time only...we will still be having all other regularly scheduled programs. 

We will resume our regular Night Owl Story Time on Monday, June 3rd, 6:00-6:30.  I hope you will join us then to read a story or two and join in some conversation and short craft/exploration afterward.

BEES---WHAT' THE BUZZ ABOUT?  Find out at the Lanpher Library on Monday, May 20th at 3:00!  The Junior Naturalist Programs are always FREE, FUN, INFORMATIVE AND INTERACTIVE...and help children ages preschool through 4th grade learn more about the world that is literally just outside their doors.

The Art of Becca Roy on Display

The Lanpher Library is pleased to be exhibiting the art of Hyde Park resident, Becca Roy. 
Becca Roy and her husband settled in Hyde Park many years ago to raise their family.  Her formal art education began with a two year stint at Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of Art.  She finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Johnson State College. 

Roy now works primarily with pen & ink, watercolor and colored pencil.  Her recent paintings have been inspired by a mixed-breed puppy that moved in with the family last year.  The paintings have served as a channel for some intense and excessive "puppy love".  Roy finds inspiration close to home and keeps the subjects of her paintings local and personal.

We hope you visit the Lanpher Library and explore the art of Becca Roy.
