Children and their families are invited to participate in fun activities at the Lanpher Memorial Library beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd. Frosty the Snowman will read stories, there will be a sing a long and a craft too. Afterward, families can catch the "Polar Express" bus to ride down to St. Teresa's Parish Hall to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate with other community members and to see the newly lighted wreaths.
The bus will be available to transport back to the Library area to be closer to their parked cars following the event.
For those who wish to attend only the Lighting Ceremony, it will begin at 7:00 at St. Teresa's Parish Hall, West Main St. in Hyde Park Village. Each light lit commemorates and acknowledges special people or events and as each name is read aloud, the wreaths become brighter, and brighter!
Later, the wreaths will be hung in Hyde Park Village and in North Hyde Park for all to enjoy throughout the Holiday Season.
