2022-2023 Annual Fund

Dear Friends,
Once again, we are asking you to continue your support of your Lanpher Memorial Library, or join those who have been regular donors in the past. Last year's annual appeal was again our best ever, thanks to the many new donors, large and small.
It is reassuring to report that the Lanpher Memorial Library has been surviving and thriving for these last three pandemic years--thanks to the loyal support and hard work of the Library Director, Amy Olsen, Assistant Director Ruth Hay, and Circulation Librarian Christi Dussault.
There have been many improvements to the library, inside and out, during the pandemic years. The new community room was finished and is now being furnished with funds from the annual appeal. There is a new and improved signage for the library, and --ever alert for the one-time gran money--our Library Director pursued a grant for the awning over the picnic table for outside WiFi users.
In addition to our well-known library services, there are also downloadable audio and e-books, free online classes, and the Vermont online library. The courier system for interlibrary loans opens many library doors all over the state for us, providing virtually endless opportunities for informational and recreational reading and learning--all for local pickup.
Our local treasure, Lanpher Memorial Library is a municipal library with generous taxpayer support. The Trustees have pledged to raise additional funds and dedicate all library income from its book sales, small endowment, and the Adopt-an-Author program to the advancement of the library and its many services.
Sincerely, the Board of Trustees:
Kim Austin Puleio (chair), Jim Noyes (treasurer), Melanie Dickinson (secretary), Fran Aronovici, Ken Geiersbach, Robert (Sigh) Searles, Kim Austin Puleio
