Are you looking for a gift for someone who has everything? We might be able to help!
The Friends of the Lanpher Memorial Library are giving you the opportunity to help the Library increase the number of chairs for comfortable seating with their Chair Dedication Program: "Pull Up a Chair"
A donation of $50 covers the cost of a chair and a simple commemorative brass plaque on the back. Order forms are available at the Lanpher Memorial Library and the number of chairs is limited! Only 15 left.
The bricks cost $100 each and you can order them online: https://polarengraving.com/secondcongregationalchurchofhydepark
For $20 they also offer the opportunity to light the bell tower for a week in honor or in memory of someone. https://2congoucc.weebly.com/tower-light-memorial-page.html
Proceeds from these gifts will go toward restoration of the Second Congregational Church's bell tower. This iconic Hyde Park landmark is in need of expensive repairs, so every brick and every light helps save the bell tower.
We have copies of Gordie Tallman's second book of poetry: "Backroads and Bygones, Volume II" for $15 each.
For the Civil War buff: "Spunky Lamoille Boys in Blue Too" by Deanna French and Tom Ledoux are $20 (every bit goes to Lamoille Area Cancer Network)
If you want a unique glance at Hyde Park History, look no further than "Moonlight Rambles". This compilation of 52 articles from the 1918 News & Citizen takes the reader on a one of a kind tour through Hyde Park. Put together by Francis Favreau, copies cost $10.
Finally, the special story by an author who visited the Lanpher Memorial Library a few months ago for a talk: "Soar, Adam, Soar", by Rick Prashaw and Adam Prashaw. $20. Learn more about this book: https://www.rickprashaw.com/soar-adam-soar
