On a hill o'er the valley
Where the river runs down
In the heart of the county
Stands a quiet little town
A tree-shaded hamlet
Where friendly folk dwell
where neighbors have time
To visit a spell
A quaint country village
Kind of out of the way
Some come to visit
And some come to stay
A town leveled by fire
In nineteen and ten
But as Lazarus arose
So the town did again
Money was scarce
And resources thin
But the town folk were stubborn
They wouldn't give in
Imagine the hardship
Back then-- and the strife
But united they brought
Our fair town back to life
From the rubble and ashes
Up from the ground
With a solid foundation
They rebuilt the town
Yea--with undaunted spirit
The town again rose
On a hill o'er the valley
Where the big river flows.
