Over in the Forest: Come and Take a Peek, by Marianne Berkes is the StoryWalk® book that we have set up on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail through June 29th.
StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story.
Readers can begin reading the story on the Depot St. trail head in Hyde Park and follow the pages west.
There are many different ways to experience this book, making it a perfect StoryWalk® selection. It can be read, sung, acted out....and it's fun to read/walk again and again.
