Saturday, February 16th 5:30 p.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Hyde Park a partnership with the Lanpher Library and the Church.
Stone Soup is an old folktale in which hungry strangers convince the people of a town to share a small amount of their food in order to make a meal that everyone enjoys.
The Second Congregational Church and the Lanpher Memorial Library invite you to donate a vegetarian soup ingredient (vegetables of all kinds: potato, squash, onions, garlic, carrots, celery, etc..., herbs, grains...) and we will work with a chef to make it into soups to be shared with all who can join us.
We'll enjoy the soup with anyone who is able to come. ALL ARE WELCOME TO THE MEAL! There will be no charge.
There will be great soup, community, and a game with prizes!
If you choose to donate a food item, please bring your contribution to the Lanpher Library any time between Monday Feb. 11-Friday Feb. 15th.
