ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH AT 1:00 AT THE LANPHER LIBRARY, we will Celebrate the publishing of Spunky Lamoille Boys in Blue 1861-1865, edited by Deanna French and Tom Ledoux.
The book is a compilation of more than 200 letters from over 80 soldiers all from Lamoille County, all served in the Civil War. Plus, family sketches documenting many of the multiple family members from the county who served.
ON DECEMBER 7TH AT 1:00, we will see Civil War reenactors read some of the letters and poems, listen to traditional music....and sample some of the food our boys in blue ate as part of their Thanksgiving Dinner on December 6, 1864...151 years and 1 day from the day of our program....gingersnaps, apples, doughnuts, coffee and tea...and try some hardtack too!!!
Books will be on sale for $20. All proceeds benefit Lamoille Area Cancer Network.
