On Monday, May 18th at 6:00, Dr. Phil Chiaravalle will be at the Lanpher Memroial Library to lead a discussion on Improving Soil Organically.
Learn methods of adding organic matter to improve overall soil health. He will discuss the basic structure and nature of soil, as well as the role of pH, fertilizers and lime. The importance of cover crops will be emphasized along with the significance of various soil agents like mycorrhizae and bacteria.
The importance of biochar may also be covered in this talk.
