RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 13TH AT 6:30!
Please join us for this free program.
Eric Nuse and Ron Kelley from The Friends of Green River Reservoir will present a slide show entitled “Green River Reservoir- A Special Place for Exploring Nature.” Audubon quality
pictures will track wildlife, birds and flowers through the seasons at the Reservoir. The Friends primary mission is to maintain the wilderness-like character of the reservoir but the future of the dam is now in question due to the relicensing controversy between Morrisville Water & Light and the State. An appeal is now before the Environmental Court. The Friends have obtained party status in order to monitor what transpires on this issue. At the end of the
presentation, Eric will give a brief summary of the current status of this process and the Friends involvement in it. Ron has been exploring the reservoir by paddle and camera for many years and Eric is a former Lamoille County Game Warden who has paddled, fished and explored the area since 1972. Both are loon project volunteers there.
Friends of the Lanpher Memorial Library was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2015.
